There
are many places to explore during a visit to Israel. I’ve my favorite
ones, those that I keep visiting myself and recommend every time one
travel to Israel. The following is a partial list of places you should
be visiting during a trip to Israel.
Tel Aviv and Jaffa:
Tel
Aviv is the obvious point of a trip to Israel, as this is where most
people arrive anyways. It’s a fantastic, dynamic city that has a lot to
offer to its tourists. The vibe in Tel Aviv is simply awesome, so much
so that I love it, and it hasbecome my happy place, and my home away
from home.
Jaffa,
the oldest side of Tel Aviv is one of the unmissable places to explore
in Israel. There’s daily free tours of Jaffa which is a nice way to
explore the oldest part of the city, which has a completely different
feel from Tel Aviv – though equally fun.
Jerusalem
is an eternal city, and it is blessed with some of the most astounding
places to visit in Israel. This is where one can have a basic
understanding of the country’s culture & history; to value how
multicultural it is; and to reveal some of its mystery. Apart from it,
it is simply beautiful & photogenic.
Hebron:
Hebron
is situated in the West Bank, and it’s one of the most highly contested
cities in the Israeli – Palestinian clash. Visiting Hebron certainly
adds to a trip to Israel (though it actually is not in Israel) as it is
an excellent way to get 2 different perspectives of what is an extremely
complicated issue.
Haifa:
No
visit to Israel can be complete without a trip to Haifa. The 3rd
largest city in the country is beautiful, but what makes it
extraordinary is the unbelievably easy going, friendly atmosphere. Haiffa
offers – stunning beaches, a gorgeous city center, nice shops, an
extraordinary restaurant scene, good nightlife;
One
of Haifa best sight is the Baha’i Gardens, which were declared a UNESCO
World Heritage Site in 2008. The view of the extremely well kept park
& of the harbor from the terraces on the hills of Haifa is perhaps
one of the top things to see in Israel.
